Paola Iuspa-Abbott is the founder and President of Top of Mind, a boutique public relations agency with offices in Miami and Washington DC. Paola, a former business reporter for 15 years, has a detailed understanding of legal, real estate and financial markets. Her comprehension of current media industry trends and her professional connections with newsroom reporters and editors continually enables her clients to gain a competitive edge in strategic media opportunities. Paola oversees the firm’s traditional and digital media departments and leads the company’s growth strategy. Top of Mind provides personalized PR services to a select group of clients in the fields of law, real estate and NGOs/nonprofits.
An award-winning journalist, Paola has written for the Daily Business Review, South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Miami Herald, South Florida Business Journal, Louisville Courier Journal and Miami Today. Her work has also been featured in The Real Deal, Bankrate.com, AVENUE, South Florida Business & Wealth and several other publications. She earned a degree in Communications from Florida International University. She is married to singing drummer Lou Abbott and has a beautiful pre-teen daughter named Luna.
Jessica Forres is a public relations professional with experience managing media relations, marketing and social media initiatives for law firms, real estate companies, private equity funds, nonprofits and startups. Previously with Miami-based Schwartz Media Strategies, Jessica managed and supported Fortune 500 commercial real estate firm JLL, Miami-based law firm Bilzin Sumberg, The Florida Bar, real estate investment firm 13th Floor Investments, Pipeline Workspaces and Chile’s Atton Brickell hotel.
Formerly, Jessica worked in media relations and communications for a number of social and environmental international NGOs, including Oxfam America, the World Resources Institute and the Environmental Investigation Agency. She began her career as a reporter for Washington, D.C.’s local NPR station and Public Education Center’s Natural Resources News Service.
Jessica earned her bachelor’s degree from George Washington University, where she studied International Affairs with a concentration in International Politics.
Courtney Moberley Moreno is a public relations professional that specializes in social media content curation and strategy, website creation and maintenance, blog writing and AP Style editing. Since joining the Top of Mind team, Courtney has gained valuable experience in account management, media initiatives, digital marketing and more.
Previously, Courtney worked at The Pillars Hotel in Fort Lauderdale where she managed a campaign that resulted in the hotel being ranked the No. 2 hotel overall in Condé Nast’s Readers Choice Awards. She also served as Gamma Phi Beta’s Preference Day Chairwoman, which afforded her the opportunity to plan an event from start to finish. Courtney currently serves as the President of the Greater Miami Area Alumnae Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Through this role, she leads board meetings, plans events, and manages communication with members from West Palm Beach to Miami.
Courtney graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and a concentration in Business Management.
James Rosell is a Media Relations Specialist supporting client account management, proactive media outreach, social media campaigns, and community relations and marketing strategies for the firm’s legal, finance, commercial real estate accounts. Throughout his career James has represented a variety of legal, finance, real estate, corporate and technology companies.
James earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication with a special emphasis on Public Relations from the University of Maryland.
Crystal Aguirre is a digital marketing professional that specializes in creating online and visual content for email marketing and social media channels, driving brand awareness as well as coordinating and tracking marketing/advertising campaigns. Before joining Top of Mind, Crystal interned at Florida International University’s Spanish Language Journalism Master’s program developing strategic creative content and social media marketing strategies, and later, worked as a Communications Intern for a nonprofit organization in Miami.
Crystal earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with a track in Advertising, including a minor in Marketing and a certificate in Social Media and E-marketing Analytics, from Florida International University.
Emily Briel is an account coordinator with Top of Mind. In her role, she assists in the development of traditional and social media initiatives for the firm’s legal and real estate clients. She specializes in supporting account management efforts and assisting in content development, media relations, and research.
Before joining Top of Mind, Emily worked on the public relations teams at Tierney Agency, Foxglove Communications, and Breslow Partners in Philadelphia. As an undergraduate, she was a founding member, contributor, and public relations assistant for REFINE Magazine, the university’s first publication created independently.
Emily graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a minor in Spanish.
Emma Ricuito is an assistant account coordinator who assists in both the traditional and digital media needs of Top of Mind’s clients. She specializes in multimedia journalism, social media marketing, and content creation.
Before joining Top of Mind, Emma worked as a digital producer for the TV show RightThisMinute and as a digital marketing manager at Nagel Media Group. As an undergraduate, she worked with Arizona PBS and interned for NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner.
Emma graduated from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Journalism.
