08 Feb Ideal Times for Better Social Media Engagement
Does it seem like your social media posts aren’t receiving the amount of engagement they deserve? It may just be a simple matter of tweaking what time you’re publishing the posts. Though there is no “one size fits all” solution when it comes to a time, evaluating your business and its audience can help you narrow down a timeframe.
For starters, if you’re a B2B company whose market is mainly other businesses, it would be better to post during typical working hours while those companies’ workers are on their business accounts. On the other hand, a B2C organization means that you will be approaching individual customers. These often use social media the most before work, during their lunch break, and the evening hours when they’re home.
Each social media site has its time when activity and engagement are at their peak. Because the kind of person using each social media network is different, there is logic behind this.
LinkedIn, for instance, is a forum for seeking jobs and blogging about business. Hence, the busiest times will be during working hours. Facebook and Twitter are skewed less towards business which means the hours will be different.
As a business owner or executive, it is crucial to know when each network reaches its peak time to optimize your interaction. On Facebook, the perfect time for B2B brands is between 9 am and 2 pm EST on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, with B2C brands getting more luck on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday at noon EST. Because of the large number of tweets that go out every minute, Twitter is trickier. For B2B, post Mondays or Thursdays at 12 pm or 1 pm. For B2C, post Monday to Wednesday,11 am to 1 pm EST.
